I AM

Sadness has become me
It has engulfed my soul
Taken over my mind
Pain doesn't hurt me
I am numb from all
From all the things that try to hurt me
I can't fall anymore
The bottom is above me
I hate the truth
I hate reality
Mask it
Hide all the feelings
Don't let the sadness show
He must never know
She is weak
So ashamed of what I have become

  1. I know it's probably in a different context, but this makes for a great faithbooking journal entry!...Poems & Prayers remind us of things that we might be feeling during occassional points of questions, worries & hardships, in our life...When reading this poem, I like the last 3 lines & think of the He as the Lord and the she as us...However, we know that He is omni-present (everywhere/knows all) God. He is strong, though we are weak and we have nothing to be ashamed of when walking close side-by-side with Him.
